Privacy Policy

How Pull Shooting collects, uses, displays and shares personal information. Effective 19 September 2026.

Effective date: 19 September 2026 Version: 1.0

This Privacy Policy explains how Pull Shooting collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use the Pull Shooting website, app, administrative portal and related services (together, the Service).

Important: your username and shooting scores are public

When you create a Pull Shooting account and use the scoring features, your chosen username and shooting scores will be displayed publicly as part of Pull Shooting profiles, results, leaderboards, sessions, competitions or statistics.

This public information may be seen by other Pull Shooting users and, where a page is available without signing in, by other visitors. People who see it may copy, screenshot or share it outside Pull Shooting. We cannot control what another person does with information after they have copied or shared it.

Your real name, email address, password, full date of birth, payment details, precise device location and private communications are not made public by us. However, your real name and relevant shooting records are shared with authorised staff at a shooting ground where you shoot, enter a competition or otherwise interact, as explained in section 7.

If you do not want your username and scores to be displayed publicly, you should not create a Pull Shooting account or use its scoring features. Contact us at hello@pullshooting.co.uk if you believe public information about you is incorrect or should be removed.

• from payment, hosting, authentication, email and other service providers that support the Service.

If another person enters your real name, username or score, they must have a proper reason and permission to do so. You can contact us if you believe information has been entered about you incorrectly or without authority.

6. Information displayed publicly

Pull Shooting is designed to let shooters record and compare results. Depending on the features you use, the following information may be public:

• your chosen username;

• your profile image, if you add one and it is configured for public display;

• your scores and shooting statistics;

• results, rankings, positions and achievements;

• sessions or competitions in which you are shown as a participant, host or scorer; and

• the shooting ground, stand, event or date connected with a displayed result.

We do not intentionally publish your real name, email address, password, full date of birth, payment-card details, precise device location, private messages or support communications.

Public information may remain visible in historical session or competition results. If you close your account, we will normally remove your public profile and stop displaying your username. We may retain a result or event record where reasonably necessary for the integrity of a competition or historical record, but we will delete or anonymise identifying information unless continued identification is necessary and lawful.

Search engines may index pages that are available without signing in. Removing information from Pull Shooting does not guarantee immediate removal from search-engine caches or copies made by other people.

7. Information shared with shooting grounds

When you shoot at a participating ground, join or enter a session or competition there, select it as your home ground, or otherwise interact with it through Pull Shooting, authorised staff at that ground may access information reasonably needed to administer activity at that ground. This may include:

• your real name and username;

• your scores, statistics and shooting records connected with that ground;

• sessions and competitions at that ground that you have created, hosted, joined, scored or entered;

• attendance, rankings, results and related event information; and

• relevant account or membership status where needed to provide a feature or administer the ground.

A ground does not receive your email address or other private contact details merely because you shoot there or appear in its results.

If you submit a tuition enquiry or another enquiry form, the information you deliberately enter—including any email address, telephone number or other contact details—will be sent to the particular ground, instructor or provider identified on the form so that they can respond to and manage your enquiry. That recipient will use the information under its own privacy responsibilities. Do not enter information that is not needed for the enquiry.

Ground staff may use information received through Pull Shooting only for legitimate ground administration, scoring, competition, safety, customer-service or enquiry purposes. Their access is restricted according to their assigned role and ground. Grounds must not use information for unrelated marketing unless they have a separate lawful basis and provide any information or choices required by law.

Other participating grounds do not receive your private ground-specific records merely because they use Pull Shooting. Public usernames and scores remain visible as described in section 6.

8. Other ways we share personal information

We may share personal information with:

• other users and the public, as explained in section 6;

• shooting grounds, hosts, scorers and competition organisers as explained in section 7 and where necessary to manage a session, ground, enquiry, event or result;

• technology providers that supply hosting, database, authentication, storage, security, email, push-notification and technical-support services;

• payment providers that securely process memberships and other payments;

• professional advisers, such as accountants, insurers, solicitors and security specialists, where reasonably necessary;

• regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or public authorities where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety or security; and

• a buyer, successor or prospective buyer if Pull Shooting or its relevant assets are sold, reorganised or transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.

Our principal technology providers may include Supabase for database and authentication services, Vercel for application hosting, Cloudflare for network and security services, Stripe for payment processing, and email or communications providers used by Pull Shooting. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy arrangements or on our instructions, depending on their role.

We do not sell personal information.

9. International transfers

Some providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we use an appropriate lawful safeguard where required, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses, or another legally recognised safeguard.

You may contact us for more information about the safeguards relevant to your personal information.

10. How long we keep personal information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the Service, maintaining accurate records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud and meeting legal, tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.

In general:

• account and profile information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure where needed for security, dispute resolution or legal compliance;

• shooting history is kept while your account is active so that you can view statistics and past activity;

• public results may be retained as explained in section 6;

• support and complaint records are kept for as long as needed to deal with the issue and any related claim;

• billing and transaction records may be kept for the period required by tax, accounting and legal rules;

• security, audit, diagnostic and technical logs are kept for a limited period appropriate to security and troubleshooting; and

• backup copies are deleted or overwritten through the normal backup cycle.

When information is no longer required, we delete it or anonymise it so that it can no longer identify you.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies where necessary to:

• keep you signed in;

• remember settings and preferences;

• provide offline functionality and synchronise information;

• protect accounts and prevent misuse; and

• understand and improve performance where permitted.

Non-essential cookies or similar technologies will be used only with consent where the law requires it. You can manage available choices through the cookie controls and your browser or device settings. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent parts of the Service from working correctly.

Further details should be provided in Pull Shooting's Cookie Policy or cookie-preference panel where applicable.

12. Push notifications and marketing

If you enable push notifications, we use a notification token and relevant account or event information to send notifications such as session, competition, ground or service updates. You can disable push notifications through the Service or your browser or device settings.

We send marketing messages only where permitted. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting hello@pullshooting.co.uk. You may still receive essential service messages, such as security alerts, account notices or important changes, because these are not marketing.

13. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

• be informed about how we use your personal information;

• ask for a copy of your personal information;

• ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;

• ask us to delete personal information;

• ask us to restrict how personal information is used;

• object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing;

• receive certain information in a portable format and have it sent to another organisation;

• withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent; and

• complain to a data-protection regulator.

These rights are not absolute and may depend on the reason we process the information and applicable legal exceptions.

To exercise a right, email hello@pullshooting.co.uk. We may ask for information reasonably needed to confirm your identity. You will not normally have to pay a fee. We aim to respond within the period required by law.

If you are aged 16 or 17, these rights belong to you where you are able to understand and exercise them. A parent or guardian may contact us on your behalf where legally authorised or where this is appropriate to protect you.

14. Automated decision-making

We do not currently use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Statistics, rankings, comparisons and automated notifications may be generated from entered data, but they do not determine legal rights or similarly significant matters.

15. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction. These measures include access controls, account authentication, encrypted connections, role-based permissions, security monitoring and restricted administrative access where appropriate.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and should contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

16. Third-party services and links

The Service may include links to shooting grounds, tuition providers, payment services, maps or other third-party websites and services. Those third parties may collect and use information under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their independent privacy practices.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Service, our processing or the law changes. The current version will be published with a revised effective date.

If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, by email or another appropriate method. Where required, we will ask for fresh consent.

18. Complaints

Please contact us first if you have a privacy concern so that we can try to resolve it:

Required signup privacy notice

Place this notice immediately beside or above the signup acceptance checkbox:

Your username and shooting scores will be public. They may appear on profiles, results, leaderboards, sessions, competitions and statistics, where other users—and on publicly accessible pages, anyone—can see and share them. Your real name will not be shown publicly, but authorised staff at a ground where you shoot or enter an event can see your real name, username and relevant records for that ground. Contact details entered in an enquiry form will be sent to the selected ground or provider. Read the Privacy Policy before creating your account.

Recommended required checkbox wording:

I confirm that I am aged 16 or over, have read the Privacy Policy, and understand that my username and shooting scores will be displayed publicly and that relevant account and shooting information will be shared with grounds as explained in the Privacy Policy. If I am under 18, I confirm that I have permission from my parent or legal guardian.

The Terms and Conditions acceptance may be combined with this checkbox if both documents are clearly linked. Any marketing consent must remain separate, optional and unticked by default.
